Dr Sanj is Impression Orthodontics' Principal Orthodontist. Sanj grew up in Perth and graduated high school at Christ Church Grammar School in Claremont. He had a strong desire to work in health, which led him to study dentistry at the University of Adelaide, where he completed his degree in 1998.
After a brief stint working as a dentist in Perth, Sanj caught the travel bug and moved to the UK to work in private practice with an emphasis on children's dentistry. In 2007, Sanj returned to Australia to undertake specialist training in orthodontics at the University of Melbourne.
Sanj was awarded the 2010 John McDonald award by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. This is one of the world's most prestigious awards in orthodontics. Sanj was also awarded the 2010 Elsdon Storey research award by the Australian Society of Orthodontists for his research on dental decay around braces.
When not straightening teeth Sanj is busy helping his wife Monique look after their 3 sons, 2 cats, and a dog. Sanj is also a big fan of all things golf and is a member of Cottesloe golf club. Sanj is the immediate past President of the Australian Society of Orthodontists WA branch.
